Sr Project Manager / SW Development / Enhancements-Modifications / Coordination
Role:
Searching for a seasoned project manager to join existing team. The consultant should have experience interfacing and coordinating activities across multiple groups in an effort to ensure smooth delivery of enhancements/modifications to existing application. Experience working with and in distributed teams/environments is necessary for successful project management and delivery.
The existing application has multiple releases specific for the business side delivering to a diverse customer base. Currently, there are 3 areas of the globe that are being serviced with this application. The Project Manager will orchestrate the movement of Artifacts to the development servers, regression, and UAT. There are teams in Ireland, Bohemia and India.
The PM will receive Artifacts from Ireland and will need to coordinate the install within the Bohemia runtime environment as well as installation within India based test and regression servers. The PM will then coordinate the move to the UAT server – coordinating with the established End-to-End Project Manager. The ETE Project Manager is then responsible for delivery to the customer. Project Manager then follows up with the ETE to discuss any customer related requests or issues. And the cycle begins again.
Experience running projects in the Agile Development cycle is extremely helpful. Running SCRUM sessions, etc..
There are two main teams that the project manager will need to interface with on a regular basis:
1 – Core Team: this team is responsible for the core runtime environment in which the applications reside.
2- Orchestration Team: this team is managing customer facing application artifacts. The team is working with and around SLAs for the application.
Technology:
The application is driven by .net and does have some java on the backend for messaging.
Project Management Tools:
Sharepoint
Templates, forms, etc..revolving around Scope Management, Resource Management, Quality Management, etc..are all housed in Sharepoint. These are all based on or similar to PMI defined templates, forms, etc…
