Role: Python Developer
Location – NYC.
Duration – 6+ months
Experience: 7+ years
Candidates for this role *MUST* be able to come in for an in-person interview after an initial phone screen. Client will not reimburse for travel expenses to the interview.
Responsibilities:
· Work on front, middle or back office platforms for leading investment banks
· Involvement in projects such as building new trade capture systems or real time, multithreaded risk portals
· Develop a complete rewrite of the reporting suite and for introducing precognitive error checking and intelligent auto-correct for OATS
Skills Required:
- Excellent C++ and/or python/scripting skills with 7+ years of experience
- Excellent system design for a software oriented architecture
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of programming with UNIX is essential
- Full life cycle development experience
- Buy-side/Sell-side order management system experience is highly desired
- Experience with relational databases and multi-threaded programming, and knowledge of UNIX scripting languages is desired
- Previous consulting/investment banking experience preferred
- Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
