Title: Software Engineer/ C++ Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
The Software Engineer I applies research and the principles of engineering to the planning, design, development, documentation, and testing/debugging/troubleshooting of a variety of instrumentation, systems and/or software; assists in the development of solutions, technical specifications and definition of system interfaces to meet customer needs; ensures completed applications or solutions meet specifications and fulfills the intended purpose; collaborates with other functional groups, including Development, Manufacturing and Quality; and ensures company, industry, and regulatory standards are met.
Qualifications:
· B.S. degree with 5+ years industry experience
· Experience with C, C++, and VC++ (visual studio) required,
· Experience with widows OS,Unix/Linux is mandatory
· Experience with STB/IPTV middleware and head end is a plus.
· Experience with Verizon/Comcast/Pace/Arris STB would be plus
· Strong windows and Linux skill set.
· Scripting experience is must, Python/perl
· good implementation experience with SNMP protocol and Linux internals
· Experience with GUI & Application development required
· Familiarity with Networking, Server & storage platforms
· Familiarity with cloud based software development will be a plus
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
· Ability to solve problems quickly, good team player.
· Ability to be flexible and work in a rapidly changing task environment and with a variety of tasks
· Ability to multi-task and good organizational skills
