Job Title: Information Security Engineer

Location: Boca Raton FL

Duration: 6+ Months

• The Lead Information Security Engineer and Architect position is a hybrid role combining key aspects of Engineering and Architecture

• This position requires the selected candidate to possess business insight; technical acuity; and the ability to think, communicate and write at various levels of abstraction

• This position contributes to improving our Information Security program, through formal Information Security architecture processes that deliver consistent, optimal and resilient solutions that satisfy the business requirements for security services

• This position works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert, and is expected to coach and mentor more-junior technical staff.

• Works closely with enterprise architects, other functional area architects and security specialists to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently

• Develops the business, information and technical artifacts that constitute the enterprise information security architecture and solutions

• Ensures security architecture standards and solutions meet business objectives and regulatory compliance requirements

• Serves as a security expert in application development, database design, network and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices

• Contributes to the alignment of security governance with Enterprise Architecture (EA) governance and project and portfolio management (PPM)

• Researches, designs and advocates new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners and vendors

• Contributes to the development and maintenance of the Information Security strategy and technology plans (roadmaps)

• Provides strategic Information Security investment advisory to management

• Supports ROI and WBS planning for major projects

• Coordinates cross-functional discussions to address and resolve complex issues

• Evaluates and develops secure solutions, based on approved security architectures

• Analyzes business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks

• Communicates security risks and solutions to business partners and IT staff

• Implements complex security architecture project tasks including providing requirements for designing and implementing components of the Information Security program

• Interfaces with external departments and vendors to provide expert level consultation concerning Information Security architectures and the implementation and integration with existing network environments, applications and services

• Provides assistance to other departments regarding Information Security architecture issues and controls

• Evaluates third party products and services to verify that they meet security standards and will integrate seamlessly and securely into the IT computing architecture

• Monitors and guides security administrators, analysts, project/program managers and liaisons regarding their compliance to standards
