Role & Responsibilities

Data Network Design, Build and Deployment

ü Build, configure and deliver network integration solution

ü Producing 'as build' network project documentation

ü Transition all installed project handover to Operational Support

ü Attending internal and external project kick off meetings

ü Working with Presales and/or Design Consultant on the high level design approval
Understand and deliver detailed customer requirements

ü Comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts

ü In-depth knowledge and understanding of all major vendors products

ü Continually develop, maintain and apply expert technical knowledge and skills within vendor product and technology markets identified and defined by business and vendor portfolio

ü To lead the project implementation phase and be responsible for delivery of projects on time and on budget.

ü Network strategy and consultancy services.

ü Assessment and providing Recommendation reports

ü Provide network design services which meet and exceed the needs of customer

ü Propose and Validate BoM for Network Infrastructure solutions.

ü Preparing Scope of Work and Project Plans for the Solution.

ü Preparing High Level & Low Level designs as per proposed Solution.

ü Design and Implementation of Routing and Switching technologies.

ü Design and implementation of Data Centres.

ü Wireless LAN design, Implementation and Troubleshooting.

ü Design and Implementation of Advanced Technologies (WAN Optimization).

ü Maintaining the network's integrity at all times

ü Troubleshooting and repairing network issues, as well as developing, applying and enforcing best practices and policies

ü Monitoring and performing routine tests on an assigned system and reporting results.

ü Identifying opportunities for continuous improvements

ü Contributing and producing regular status reports as required

ü Working with 3rd party hardware and Telco suppliers to ensure delivery expectations are met and issues escalated accordingly

ü Escalating overall none delivery issues in timely and structured manner as required

ü Providing day to day hands on technical support across multiple services

ü Working as part of a project in a demanding environment where team work is key to delivering and meeting client commitments

ü Complete varied complex/non-standard tasks and may coordinate/oversee work of others

ü Understand customer requirements, translating them into refined and detailed specification documents

ü Provide resolution to project or customer issues, following proper escalation procedures, in a timely fashion

ü Create project documentation and procedures

ü Closely work with Project Managers and customer technical authority and ensure smooth delivery of project deliverables.

Required Candidate Profile

· Should be CCIE Lab Certified

· Technologies: WAN, LAN, DC Networks, Wireless

· Vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Riverbed, F5, ARUBA

· Products: Cisco Routers, WAAS, Nexus 7k/5k, Cisco Switches, Cisco 65xx, 45xx, 37xx,ACE, WLC, WCS, LWAPPs

· WAN: IP Routing, Frame Relay, ATM, Multi Layer Switching, ACL's, NAT, T1/E1, DS3/OC3

· Routing: Cisco 4000 / 4500 / 6500 / 7200 routers, Protocols include RIP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MBGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, L3 VPN's, IPSec, VPNs, ACL's, NAT, CoS

· LAN/Switching: Cisco Catalyst 3500 / 3550 / 3700 / 3900 / 4000 / 6500 series switches, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.1q, ISL, Ether Channel, Multicast, SNMP, VSS, VTP, STP, RSTP, HSRP/VRRP, vDC, vPC, VRF, FCoE, DHCP, Traffic Shaping, Voice over IP, Video / Voice QoS (CBWFQ, LLQ)

· Wireless: 802.1x, WPA/WPA2 and WEP with TKIP / AES

· Load Balancing - Netscalers, F5 and Cisco

· NMS / Analysis: Cisco works 5.0 / 2000, What's up Gold, Sniffer Pro 4.5 / 4.6, Sniffer Reporter

· Sound major vendor technologies & architectures (LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security/Unified Comms/Data Centre) and products knowledge essential

· Experience in implementing solutions via controlled change control governance procedures

· Comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts
Participate as ultimate escalation point for vendor/product & customer technical faults
