Job Title: ETL Ab Initio Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration : 1 year contract (plus possible extensions)
Skills Required:
Primary Skills: At least 6+ years' experience in Ab Initio, Oracle 10G or better, and SQL Server 2012.
Additional Skills: UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys and basic to intermediate Data Modeling.
Job Description:
This position is for production support ETL developer role in our client's Enterprise Risk Management department. The candidate should have strong knowledge in design, development, testing and implementing ETL jobs (both server and parallel) in Ab Initio or Informatica
Understanding of ETL processes and Best Practices thereof.
Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with Ab Initio, Unix shell scripting, Oracle database
Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with XML and loading data arriving in different file formats..
Strong knowledge in Oracle & SQL Server including SSIS.
Understanding of change management processes
Understanding of Production Support (PS) processes
Strong ability to work independently as a developer
Good and / or diverse understanding of IT infrastructure and other technologies
Ability to support multiple managers in Production Support services
Firm understanding of software development Lifecycle, release management and change management process
Familiar with development tools such as Visual SourceSafe or PVCS
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be team player and self-motivated, work independently with minimum direction
