DESCRIPTION:

RRD is looking for a developer to join their team to assist with the file transfer of print jobs received from retail and healthcare customers. The file will come in as XML, and the XLST will be used to transfer the data into a language their printers can read to print. Ideally a candidate will have 4-5 years of experience. The projects are set and the work is directly related to large orders coming down the pipeline of 300+ hours a piece.

We have a pressing need for 2 developers based out of our Warrenville, IL location. The roles are as Workflow Developers for the DSA group, which is tasked with Variable Print project Induction, Processing, Production, Shipment and Confirmation for a variety of large Retail and Healthcare Clients. The duration is 6+ months. We would like the start date to be as close to May 1st as possible.

WORKFLOW
The qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

• SQL 2005 – 2008 experience
• XML experience preferred
• XSLT experience preferred
• Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work and 2-4 years of relevant work experience OR equivalent combination of comparable work experience and education.
• Able to demonstrate ability to solve somewhat complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job.

Responsibilities:
• The role of the workflow developer is to take client data and move it through a service oriented architecture (SOA). Along the way candidates will be responsible for building a series of processes from the input stage to the output stage. Many of the business rule applications will be in SQL. The position has a focus on using SQL, XML, and XSLT. In SQL candidate will be dealing with table joins, queries, indexing. With XSLT candidates will be setting up phases, expression matching, and using it for structured setup. XML will be used as the file format to push the data to a specific industry application.
