Job Title: Web Developer

Location: Glen Rock, NJ

Duration: 12+ months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will work alongside the members of our small but dedicated Technology team. You will help drive user experience, web design, and website development across the software development lifecycle. You will be supporting and expanding our existing website while also working on new tools that will help define the next version of Charity Navigator's award-winning website. This position reports to our Director of Engineering.

Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to:

• Design and UX for our site and other tools
• Collaborate with non-tech staff, adding content and building functionality
• Develop and support web applications using HTML5, Javascript, SASS
• Support of and ongoing work on our existing Coldfusion based site
• Work on new projects and experiments primarily in React, using JSON APIs for data

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You have an understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS and experience with SASS.
• You are proficient in JavaScript, familiar with jQuery and have worked with React.
• You are passionate about the non-profit sector, want to help donors and charities find each other and make better decisions.
• You are excited to join us in our fun, casual office in Glen Rock, NJ
