Help Drive the Big Data and AWS Cloud Strategy. · Provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving architectural recommendations. Ensure architectural adherence through blueprint and design reviews. · Work as trusted advisor to customer for building complex Hadoop based strategic solutions using Spark, Scala, Python, HBASE, Solr, Kafka etc. · Conduct PoV and related MVP in areas of public cloud and Big Data · Assist in the remediation of application stability and performance. Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance. · Perform project level design, debug and performance analysis · Responsible for the development and production support of enterprise application utilities and models to include publishing, best practices and guidelines for supported technologies. · Work with vendors and product management areas to establish required infrastructures
Position : Big Data Engineer
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Very strong knowledge of Scala/Python/Hadoop is a must Should have implemented at the least 5 yrs of big data projects Should have experience in designing Warehouse and Data mart for Life Science or Health care domain. Should have experice in complete life cycle big data projects, which includes requirement analysis, designing, coding, testing, de-bugging, documentation and implementation using hadoop, scala, python. Experience customer facing and handling big team. developments from SAP/OER source to convert the system from hadoop echo systems to Informatica and Oracle to validate the pack details with EVMS Hub. Should have very good knowledge in XML source and JSON, TIBCO reading and writing, hands on in unix/Linux scripting, Autosys Knowledge in Hadoop stack including Hbase, Hive, Pig, Java, etc. Hadoop stack including Hbase, Hive, Pig, Java, etc.

Perform initial installation and host new Hadoop cluster across DEV, QA and PROD environments • Provide Linux admin support • Perform infrastructure sizing • Add & configure Hadoop services e.g. hive,hbase, kafka, hdfs, etc available with Cloudera distribution of hadoop • Integrate application tools like SAS, R, python with Hadoop clusters • Perform code migration to QA and Production environment (project based support) Provide Cloudera big data cluster administration support • Provide support on configuration and platform related issues faced by development team • Monitor cluster and environment (Dev, QA and PROD) to make sure it is running with optimal performance • Perform tasks, such as install, configure, and upgrade and apply patches provided by third party vendor, Cloudera • Administer security, storage and objects of Hadoop cluster, • User management
