Description:
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. ADD TO Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Associates Degree in Computer Science of IT Software Developer experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of IT Software Developer experience. Experience: Typically 12 or more years in dominant project language or related experience (in addition to any experience above).
Looking for a Mainframe developer who can do the following:
* Be a great team player - open-minded, positive attitude, professional, & ready to work hard
* Have an aptitude to learn new skills and functional areas and consistently be able to apply the new knowledge
* Can rock some COBOL, CICS, DB2 - looking for someone we don't have to train on technical skills - they need to be ready to hit the ground running full-steam ahead technically and we will train on the AEP specifics
* Brings experience working in Agile/Scrum Development environment
* Ready to work in an open work area with highly collaborative teams
* Self-starter and highly motivated
* Must be focused on quality and continuous improvement
* Must be eligible for Right to Hire
* Unicorn Qualities: Utility industry experience, automated test case development & implementation on the mainframe, Data Direct Shadow
