Job Title: Business Analyst

Duration : 3+ Months to Long Term Contract

Location: Rensselaer, NY

Need Health care experience

Rate : $42/hr on C2C

Position Functions or Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analysts will work closely with program staff and other stakeholders to define and develop requirements for the Eligibility and Enrollment, SHOP, and Customer Service aspects of the system. The Business Systems Analysts will apply a wide range of specialized knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for the systems.

Specific duties include:

- Analyzes, develops and revises flow charts, process models and technical specifications describing as-is or to-be Information Technology (IT) systems or business processes

- Prioritizes IT system requirements to gain stakeholder agreement for IT projects or business process change documents detailing the project

- Develops and prepares presentations to justify and explain IT system or business process requirements

- Evaluates the outcomes of systems testing, and confirms that the results are consistent with the system or business process specifications

- Reviews proposals from staff and recommends to management the criticality of revising system or business process requirements during and after IT system implementation, if applicable

- Leads JAD sessions to elicit business requirements. Writes or reviews functional design documents or similar to detail requirements.

- Assists with the development of training related to business systems implementation for users.

MUST have the majority of the skills below

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of professional work experience as a business analyst.

- At least 5 years using recognized business analysis methodologies to elicit requirements from business users as the foundation for the solution to the organization's business needs and describing in a comprehensive written document (e.g., business case, fit-gap analysis document, or functional design specification) what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirement(s).

- At least 5 years providing written and oral reports in a business environment. A sample written report may be requested.

- At least 5 years of professional experience analyzing and developing reporting needs/reports from three perspectives: senior management, poweruser, ad-hoc using industry standard (e.g. Cognos) reporting software

- At least 5 years of professional experience developing test scenarios, scripts, and data, and reviewing test results

- At least 5 years of professional experience experience assessing the implementation of appropriate solutions to ensure they perform to the required specifications and achieve the design capabilities.

- At least 3 years working with Private Health Insurance Companies, especially small group market, or the Affordable Care Act.
