Job Title     :       UI/UX Developer
Location     :       Washington, DC
Duration    :       6 + Months
Rate            :        $50/Hr

Skill Factors:
Education:             Requires a BA/BS. Coursework in a related field (for example, political science, graphic design or computer science) is preferred. 
Experience:           4-5 years of relevant website design and web development experience. Familiarity with politics and policy is preferred. 
Communication:  Excellent customer service skills are essential. 
Computer Skills:  A strong understanding of computers and the web are essential, with specific web development experience required.

 

Skills/ Requirements:
Proficient in HTML/XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Extensive experience with popular JavaScript libraries (e.g. jQuery) and the ability to utilize them.
Proficient in Bootstrap, Foundation or another web design framework
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
Proficient with WordPress development, including PHP development
Experience with responsive design and SEO best practices
Experience with code repository and deployment systems such as Github, Beanstalk and Jenkins
Familiarity with CMS systems and concepts
Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department's goals and objectives.
