Tibco SME with EFT (Electronic File Transfer) or MFT (Message File Transfer) or any other type of file transfer experience.
Our client delivers services and technical leadership for mission-critical federal government, public sector, and private sector programs. This position is supporting their customer, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The position is located in Baltimore, on the west side of town near 695, Route 26, and Security Blvd. They are responsible for providing a full range of IT integration services and supporting a multi-platform computing environment, including: information systems modernization initiatives, software engineering, project management, infrastructure services, data warehousing, database administration, research, planning, security, federal enterprise architecture initiatives, research and all levels of Internet, Intranet and Web portal initiatives and migrating legacy architecture to web-based platforms. All employees must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.
Day-to-day:
Configures and troubleshoots new and existing TIBCO Managed File Transfer (MFT) installations.
Manages and supports MFT Internet Server, MFT Platform Server, and MFT Command Center
Working with business leads to understand functional requirements, and then create technical specifications and solutions that ensure functional requirements are met efficiently.
Validates requirements. Documents functional specifications. Develops process models and use cases.
Monitors performance, availability and capacity of all equipment and identifying/reporting potential concerns to management
Contributes to incident resolution by diagnosing and troubleshooting the incidents, gathering additional information, follows change control processes, updates incident tickets with current information, proactively documenting status for each incident ticket, escalating issues to other technical resources and/or management as appropriate, and participates/monitors the resolution and/or root cause analysis process
Performs preventative maintenance on all MFT equipment and supporting equipment including ensuring entire environment is up-to-date by installing/applying latest security and recommended patches/fixes that are released by vendor
Develops and documents standard operating procedures for end users and operations personnel. Develops and documents system documentation. Develops reports.
Maintains understanding of software industry and provides direction for further solutions.
The position will be responsible to provide on-call support in a 24/7 environment for complex production impacting technical issues and work to troubleshoot and restore service.
Required Skills:
Experience with Linux, RHEL Scripting and Shell.
Experience with PERL, Java/J2EE, SQL, HTML, Java Script, XML, FTP.
Experience with technical problem solving.
Networking hardware and protocol basics (OSI Model, IPv4 addressing/masking, routing protocols, ARP, NAT, VLAN, VIP, TCP/UDP)
Proficient in network security, encryption tools, etc. (SSH, VPN)
Proficient in software and hardware configuration management
Proficient in creating technical documentation.
Experience with technical problem solving
Desired Skills:
Strong analytical/communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and with a team to provide IT- and business-specific knowledge and expertise, and create solutions that are aligned.
Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years or more of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Note: Any non-US citizen to work on the contract must be able to prove US residency for a period of three (3) years prior to the commencement of work on this contract.
