We are looking for a Senior Virtualization Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience working in a fast paced complex environment, implementing and supporting our client's virtualization environments.
The ideal candidate will work with a global team that provides operational support for systems, services, and requirements for the client's infrastructure environments.
A thorough understanding of software management stacks specific experience with VMware enterprise products is required, as well as familiarity with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Cisco Networking gear is a plus.
To be successful, you will need a strong technical orientation; be a creative problem solve in a team-oriented environment.
· Design, Build, configure and ManageVMWare servers
· Participate in capacity management activities (forecasting, analysis, and planning)
· Backup and restore VMWare servers and virtual sessions.
· Planning and implementing fixes / Patches
· Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers
· Act on Day to Day Housekeeping tasks by using tools & scripts
· Coordination with Server Administrators and Platform teams.
· Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems.
· Ensure the Service Requests and all pre-requisite checks are followed diligently.
· Participate in Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management
· Trouble shooting, Communication within and outside the department
· Coordination with development teams, data center teams, External data center provider
Based Requirements
· 4+ years with hands on experience with VMWare virtualization, vcenter, VMWare VCM
· 7-9 years experience in the software industry
· Experience with infrastructure planning including load balancing and infrastructure monitoring
· Experience with Redhat Linux and or Windows 2003/2008
· Experience with Microsoft AD/DNS
· Patch Management
· Disaster Recovery
Preferred Requirements
· Experience with Storage Area Network
· Experience with Networking
