Network Data – Level-2 Support

Location: Wilson, NC

Duration: 8 – 12 months

Start date: Immediate

Job Description:

We are seeking a professional to join our organization as a Network Specialist. The successful incumbent will be responsible to provide Level 2 support to Customer's Cisco based Network Operations - role may be expanded to include support for F5 Load balancer.

 

Job Criteria:

Candidate with 5-6 years of experience (CCNA& CCNP certification is required) and worked on complex network environment (1000 devices upwards) which includes Load Balancers, High end Routers & Switches.

1.       Maintain and update Data network inventory.

2.       Provide a single point of contact for the reporting and tracking of Data network Problems

3.       Fair knowledge on VPN, Firewalls, Frame Relay ATMs and on demand circuits.

4.       Excellent on verbal and written English communication -able to communicate with end users and customer focal points

5.       Record, track, manage and close (i.e. document resolution) all Supported Network Incidents/ Problems received from the Level 1 Support Service Desk.

6.       Adhere to Problem Management and Escalation Procedures.

7.       Candidate should be open for 24*7 environments.

 

Required:

1.       Good hands on LAN/Wan Network environment.

2.       Should have Wide experience in Network Administration / Management

3.       Should have good knowledge on F5 Load balancers & Wireshark Sniffer tools.

4.       In-depth experience understanding and experience of Cisco switches and routers including the 2950, 3550, 3750, 6500 and 7200 series platforms and Nexus.

5.       Must be able to demonstrate both an excellent understanding and practical experience of static routing and Dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and IP Multicast.

6.       Excellent understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, including MLS, VLAN, Ethernet LAN Switching

7.       Good analytical skills.

8.       Good in Network Trouble shooting.

9.       Basic understanding of security and Firewalls.

10.   Exposure of having worked in Data Center Environments.

11.   Knowledge of WAN / PSTN Links/ Interaction/ Co-ordination with Service Providers for WAN troubleshooting.

12.   Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, including business writing and high quality technical documentation skills.
