Urgent Need of PeopleSoft Security Admin
Work Location  : Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 6+ Months

Sr. Admin – People Soft Security

Need at least 12 yrs. of profile.

 

Need a lot more focus and capability on security as row level security for 22 countries is required.

 

REQUIREMENTS (required education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities):

1.       Minimum of 7 years of PeopleSoft security design, development and support work         

2.       7+ years of general IT experience.  International experience a plus.

3.       5+ years of PeopleSoft System Administration experience with PeopleSoft version 8.8/8.9/9.x and above and PeopleTools 8.4 and above, in an Oracle database environment.

4.       3+ years of project management experience.

5.       Must have proven implementation experience with packaged software products.  This should include the design, implementation and support of the technical infrastructure architecture which leverages the technical components that make up an enterprise-level implementation, including the additional complexity associated with the sharing of a single application instance across several operating countries.

6.       Experience with deployment of PeopleSoft 8.x and 9.x on an international basis a big plus (e.g., multi currency, multi language, alternate accounts, etc.).

7.       2+ years experience with Unix, Windows Server, relational databases (e.g. Oracle), TCP/IP networking, web server technologies (e.g. IIS and IHS) and application server technologies (e.g. WebLogic).

8.       1+ years experience with batch scheduling software (e.g. Control-M).

9.       Computer literacy in a Windows desktop environment is required, including but not limited to current operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, flowcharting, and any other software development, documentation, or project management tools needed to perform assignments.

10.     Motivated, self-directed individual that works well with minimal supervision.

11.     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

12.     Demonstrate an ability to work effectively under pressure in critical situations.

13.     Be well organized, possessing excellent documentation skills.

14.     Be persuasive and influential to create acceptable agreements or solutions.

15.     Available for 24x7 on-call pager support.

16.     Practical and creative problem solving skills that follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

17.     Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:

•        Ability to configure/develop security objects that adhere to Oracle/PeopleSoft development standards and best practices, and ability to document the security infrastructure.

•        Ability to design architecture and maintain PeopleSoft security across multiple instances       

•        Apply knowledge of PeopleSoft Security delivered functionality (User Profiles, Roles, Permission List, Portal Security, Sync, etc.) to maximize features and functionality in support of identified customer requirements.                          

•        Provide new and existing technical architecture and solutions following best practices and standards.

•        Install/upgrade/configure/maintain components and functions for PeopleSoft 8.8/8.9/9.x and PeopleTools 8.4 and above in a Linux, Windows and Oracle database environment.

•        In-depth knowledge of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture configuration (Application Server, Web Server, Process Scheduler)

•        Ensures that security and SOX compliancy is maintained.

•        Provide complete and timely support for end users by responding to and resolving user requests via help desk incident management systems.

•        Remain abreast of current application architecture, PeopleSoft releases, functionality, and other components.

•        Perform version control and software management tasks using a tool like STAT

•        Must be familiar with the full life cycle development process including significant experience interacting with users, designing and compiling detail specifications based on user requirements, role design and development, testing, implementation, and documentation.                          

•        Develops and maintains productive working relationships with IT application development managers, project sponsors and key systems users.

•        Assists application development in prioritizing new development projects, enhancement projects for existing systems, and system maintenance requests.

•        Plans new enhancements, operational improvements and maintenance projects.

•        Plans their own work assignments and schedules.  They may also assist with planning project member work assignments and schedules.

•        Prepares regular status reports.

•        Other duties as assigned.
