Job Title: Sr . Java Developer 

Location: Foster City , CA 

Duration: 12 Months 

Start Date : Immediate

Requirements:

 • Gather and analyze requirements from product owners

• Develop highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems using Java, JDBC and open source technologies following coding guidelines and standards
• Analyze and support the migration of a key database used in Fraud screening along with determining the rollout and migration strategy
• Collaborate with the team in an agile development environment to collectively achieve sprint goals

 

Qualifications
(Must-have Skills)
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university
• 8+ years' experience designing and developing complex multi-tiered Java, JDBC applications
• Experience in developing web applications using technologies like Struts, Servlets and JSP
• Experience in developing applications using Eclipse or similar IDE
• Experience with Application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat or IBM WebSphere
• At least 1 year of experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Practical experience in automated unit testing using JUnit and TTD

 

(Desired Skills)
• Experience with build environment using Maven/Ant and CI tools
• Strong UNIX/Linux background
• Client-side web technologies such as JavaScript, Ajax and JQuery
• Expert in OO design and design patterns
• Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in a production setting
• Experience with database migration, fraud management, payment and/or credit card processing is a big plus
