Position : SAP BASIS / Netweaver Architect
As part of the SAP Solution Delivery Team, there is an opening for a Senior SAP BASIS / NETWEAVER Architect. This is a permanent role and the successful candidate will be working as part of a team and be responsible for SAP system installations, upgrades, landscape design, configuration and operations. Scope of work includes Global SAP implementation for GE Lighting business, post go-live strategies and support.
Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a team and ensure prompt delivery of quality solutions.
* Work together with IT Leadership to deliver SAP strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and priorities in GE Lighting business.
* Understand and utilize SAP solutions, services, methodologies and tools.
* System Landscape design on an application level.
* Work closely with OS/DB teams to ensure optimum solutions are delivered.
* Collaboration with functional partners, provide solutions enables growth and operational excellence targets.
* Collaboration with other architects to ensure that the design has been fully considered for both application and infrastructure implications.
* Responsible for continuous performance and quality improvements of the SAP system.
* Responsible for building and maintaining strong SAP knowledge across the organization.
* Lead related projects if requested.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
* Excellent communication skills, strong command of the English language and ability to communicate on all levels of the business.
* Minimum of 7 years of solid SAP BASIS experience and currently working in an architect role, consulting or permanent.
* Must have worked on at least 2 full implementation lifecycle projects.
* In addition to ECC the candidate must also have BASIS related and proven experience in SCM, BI/BW, PI, Portals, GRC AC and Solution Manager.
* Strong documentation skills.
* Up-to-date with industry standards and technology trends.
* Understanding of business processes.
Desired but not mandatory
* Knowledge of Business Objects suite including GTS.
* SAP certification
* ITILv3 Foundation Certified
* ABAP Programming knowledge
* Data Archiving, Data Migration
* Green Belt or Black Belt certified
Job Location : Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Essential Responsibilities
* Provides direct technical support for the full systems development life-cycle (SDLC) Data Warehouse environment, with the focus on delivering OBIA prebuilt solutions. This position will provide technology leadership for the Reporting in support of the global implementation of Oracle EBS Application.
* Experience in designing the solution and defining the technical specifications for reporting business requirements on Oracle EBS data.
* Expertise in implementing changes/modifications within different modules of the following analytics - Finance Analytics, Supply Chain & Order Management, Procurement & Spend, Project Analytics, etc.
* Troubleshoot Production issues, identify root cause and migrate fixes. Develop reporting standards and best practices to ensure data standardization and consistency.
* Help to create and implement a long term storage and business continuity strategy including backup & recovery and data storage and archiving.
* Drive development best practices and perform code/application reviews
* Design applications and solutions, and guide development team with subject matter expertise.
* As the SME, work with other team members to train and increase their knowledge of the reporting environment and tools. Supervise, guide, and mentor team members in the analysis, development, and implementation activities for Business Intelligence.
* Responsible for implementing strategies for moving data from legacy to OBAW with focus on data quality.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Minimum 8 years" experience in Business Intelligence field (data modeling/design, performance tuning, data analysis).
* Two to three large scale OBIA implementation expertise involving OBIEE 11g, OBIA 7.9.6.x, Informatica 9.x, DAC 10.x (E-Business Suite, Siebel)
* Experience in data configuration settings for different OBIA analytics based on business need.
* Knowledge and experience of Oracle Apps in finance and other modules.
* Must have Working knowledge on OBIEE-RPD development, ETL - Informatica & DAC
* Should be able to confidently articulate the long term strategic directions to senior leadership.
* Should be a proven thought leader.
Desired Characteristics
* prior experience with projects on entire ERP lifecycle implementations will be an added advantage.
* experience in the design, set up and maintenance of both Production and Non-Production OBIEE environments.(fine tuning, system configurations, and optimization).
* Was responsible for designing and leading data conversion activities, data quality activities.
