One of our Malaysian counterpart has a requirement for a SAP BPC 10.0 consultant (8+ years experience) immediately for a 3 to 6 months engagement.

Job description :

Senior Consultant – SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC)

Company Roles & Expectations

• Functional team
o able to lead and manage the BPC functional team members and coach the team members on the knowledge and experience gained by working on multiple projects
o able to provide feasible solutions based on best practice
o able to appraise the team members to measure their performance
• Knowledge transfer, building and coordination - able to gain access to knowledge, keep up to date with developments in area of content knowledge and transfer the knowledge internally and externally.
• Sales and marketing support
o perform sales activities to provide system demo and other presales activities, i.e. proposal preparation, presentation.
o Understands the legal components of a bid and can contribute to legal review and risk management.
o Identifies and pursues opportunities within existing clients.
• Commercial activity – able to manage the project scope, activities, mandays, timeline and resource given and submit the timesheet in the timely manner for invoice to client
• Corporate morale – maintain corporate morale and as stated in personnel reference binder (PRB)
Project Roles & Expectations
• Acts as a Functional team lead to manage the project activities, timeline and deliverables
• Able to deliver complex solutions across a variety of different industry sectors and use .
• Able to creatively use his or her experience from other clients when completing process design
• Must have hands-on detail BPC application knowledge (preferably of the latest BPC10 version) and able to convincingly communicate that to clients and team members.
• Maintain senior management interest and buy-in to the process and provides real challenge and pace to a project
• Can design a project plans and with deliverables for an overall project or phase within a major project.
• Can take an active part in the risk identification and mitigation process across all project activities.
• Can build strong relationships with senior client management based on trust and credibility.
• Able to give strong feedback and coaching to enhance the performance of client or team members in potentially difficult situations.
• Able to help a client identifies best practice solutions where conflicting requirements exist.
• Able to gain access to knowledge (internally and externally) and keeps up to date with developments in area of content knowledge.
• Able to coach the team members using the detailed knowledge and experience gained by working on multiple projects.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

• Strong accounting background (doesn't have to be an accountant by training but preferred)
• Must be knowledgeable in the accounting principles and abreast of the latest accounting standards e.g. IFRS 39, US GAP, local standards
• Strong SAP BPC implementation experience (both consolidation and planning).
• Strong client facing consultancy experience.
• Strong experience in leading and architecting the BPC solutions.
• Able to work independently and undertake personal initiatives to create new things.
• Able to demonstrate leadership and social competence across the companies lines of business's and at top management level.
• Able to communicate effectively and develop strong relationships in an executive landscape and at top management level.
• Uses good judgment to quickly make difficult decisions.
• Is aware of commercial arrangements with a client in the context of the business development angles being pursued and contributes to these as appropriate.
• Can drive a multi-disciplined group including members from all lines of business to achieve the required results.
• Minimum of 3 full project life cycle of BPC implementations with minimum 1 life cycle of BPC10 (latest release)
• Above average communication skills (presentation skills, reading/writing/speaking).
• 7-10 years of IT consulting experience.
