Location: 1600 West Monroe Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85007
Duration: 12+ months
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of:
• GIS systems, spatial data, relational database management systems, metadata and development platforms
• Mapping software including ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.
• Mapping tools including ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, mobile GIS (Survey 123, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcPy
• Cartographic principles, geographic projections, data sources and formats, information analysis, relational databases and geo-databases
• Latest data processing hardware and software technology advances, a thorough knowledge of GIS technologies, relational database and geodatabase management, analysis and modeling
• Geographic information analysis and modeling methods and techniques, cartographic presentations and image analysis
Skills in:
• Preparing maps and drawings based on field data, aerial photography analysis, land surveys, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Analyzing and problems solving
• Verbal and written communication
• Data modeling and maintaining GIS datasets.
• Customer service
Ability to:
• Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
• Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
• Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
• Develop and write advanced and complex technical documentation
• Use and put into practice the theories and process of a programming language used in GIS
• Display data and create advanced maps
• Create, modify and manipulate sets
• Manipulate complex geospatial aspects of GIS data
