Job position: Senior Java Developer

Location: Chicago, IL – 60290

Duration: 12+ Months (with possible extension)

 

This position is focused on developing Clients Payments enterprise products. Client's products are used by the banking industry, as well as companies that wish to ensure reliable payment transfers. Their database has every bank office in the world. Their content team updates that data every day to ensure that their customers have the latest, most reliable data needed to process cross-border and domestic payments. Developers create features on our interactive website, as well as data ETL.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·         Interface with the product team and team members to finalize requirements.

·         Implement coding and SDLC best practices, and assist others through code and design reviews.

·         Operate in an Agile development environment while collaborating with key stakeholders.

·         Resolve technical issues as necessary, including security vulnerabilities.

·         Keep abreast of new technology developments.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Technical Skills

 

·         Over 8-10 years of Software Engineering experience

·         Expertise with Java/J2EE/Spring, JavaScript MVC frameworks and single-page website development.

·         Experience with development frameworks including or similar to: Junit, Mockito, Backbone JS, XML.

·         Experience managing large data stores with tools including or similar to: ElasticSearch, MariaDB, MongoDB.

·         Knowledge in developing with applicable tool sets, including or similar to: Git, Groovy, Gradle, Jenkins, IntelliJ.

·         Knowledge of test-driven development.

·         Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.

·         Good oral and written communications skills.

 

Education

·         BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
