6+ month contract opportunity in Eagan for a BSA with Big Data experience (must have).

Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology engineering and architecture groups in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to technology content products; processes and systems.
Collects, analyzes and synthesizes data to document requirements, and translate into detailed technology specifications, ensuring needs of stakeholders and technology engineering teams are met.
Authors, communicates and manages requirements documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project, ensuring requirements changes are visible and managed.
Ensures requirements, solutions and functional designs align with Platform Group strategy and roadmap.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of the business needs and requirements. Assess requirements in the context of Platform Group roadmaps.
Elicits, writes formal specifications, and communicates business requirements between engineering group and business to design and implement technology solutions.
Develops and improves business processes within the technology and business organizations and understands customer requirements, specifying and analyzing these to a sufficient level of detail to ensure clarity of definition.
Translates complex business requirements into detailed technical solutions, creating robust requirements documentation and technical specifications.
Makes technical solution recommendations to meet requirements based on understanding of how technical solutions will impact the business and stakeholders as required.
Uses knowledge and experience of Platform capabilities to determine how best to meet customer need.
Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with customers.
Uses a structured requirements process to assess near-term needs.
In partnership with Managers and Platform Architects, ensures that implementation follows the design.
Ensures change management and communication of change to team and/or client is done in a systematic way for complex projects.
Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to the process.
Develops an in-depth awareness and understanding of multiple Thomson Reuters technologies, products, and services.

Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies

Business Analyst with Big Data Experience.
Examples of what they have done.( if they have a Portfolio or examples of BRD, Use Case etc)
Good Communication skills are very important. Should be well organized
Experience in building central content management platform architecture at the enterprise level and move it throughout the company
Experience with JIRA
Expected to demonstrate multiple years of previous experience in requirements analysis and technical specifications authoring.
Detailed knowledge and experience of content management technology essential.
Experience of big data technologies and solutions desired.
Excellent communication skills including ability to influence and negotiate.
Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
Understands principles of usability and helps ensure products are fit for purpose.
Understands requirements management best practice and ensures these practices are used.
Understands the effects of technology used within Development, and the impact on the customer.
Understands basic industry-specific information.
Presentation and facilitation skills.

Certifications / Education

Bachelors/Masters/Advanced degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
Certified Business Analysis Professional certification preferred.

Professional Experience

5+ years experience of business systems analysis on large scale projects, with a focus on technical systems analysis and translation to business need.
5+years experience of working with content technology, and content management related technologies.
Experience of big data technologies and solutions.
Ability to work in distributed and virtual team settings, preferably with international focus.
