Title: QA Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for planning and estimating of QA activities required for the project.

· Defines scope of test cases, create traceability matrix, specify methods of testing, identifies testing tools and areas for test automation.

· Responsible for identifying and distributing QA resources on planned activities and for setting up and managing QA Tools and test devices for project.

· Identifies gaps in documentation and business requirements. Identifies testable/not testable areas and oversees development of the test cases required for the project.

· Works closely with the project management and technology teams to define test scope, timelines and plan activities for the upcoming iterations.

· Outlines the scope of regression, load, vulnerability, automation testing based on changes to the application Coordinates QA activities between the teams (PM, Creative, Technology etc.) and also with clients and external partners involved.

· Coordinates UAT activities with client and external partners.

· Reviews test execution results and provides execution progress reports and test result reports.

· Works with Delivery Management to ensure the project is following the defined processes.

· Monitors QA activities, timelines, budget and project progress to ensure scope and timeline are being tracked and met effectively.

· Designs, implements and enforces quality control process and continuously revise/refine them according to emerging standards

Qualifications:

· QA Skills

· Experience with Agile methodology

· Expert in planning and estimating of QA activities required for the project in Agile methodology Expert in analyzing and identifying gaps in project documentation, identifying testable/not testable areas Expert in defining scope of test cases, creating traceability matrix, specifying methods of testing, identifying testing tools and areas for test automation.

· Advanced with identifying and distributing and managing QA resources on planned activities (such as test case development, test execution, defects reporting etc) Advanced with setting up and managing QA Tools and test devices for project.

· Advanced with defining test scope, timelines and planning activities for the upcoming iterations in coordination with project management and technology teams Advanced in coordinating QA activities between the teams (PM, Creative, Technology etc.) and also with clients and external partners involved.

· Experienced with coordinating UAT activities with client and external partners.

· Expert with generating Test development/execution progress reports and test result reports.

· QA Tools and Technical Experience

· Deep knowledge of web technologies, web design, internet protocols, operating systems, and relational databases Advanced experience with Test Management Tools (HP Quality Center, TestLink or similar) Advanced experience with defect tracking software (JIRA, HP Quality Center or similar) Working experience with manual testing on different platforms (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop) Working experience using functional web testing and debugging tools such as Firebug, SoapUI, Charles HTTP Proxy, jQuery etc.

· Working experience working with VMs for testing legacy software and operating systems.
