Job Title : Middleware Specialist
Duration : Long Term Contract
Location : Louisville, KY
Job Description:
The web expert is responsible for providing architectural strategy, roadmap, development and guidance to enable enterprise applications to fully harness supported internal and public cloud offerings. Consults and works with application owners towards design and implementation of a world class, leading edge interactive technologies, websites, applications and social media platforms. Partners with IT teams to drive automation & migration to leading edge technologies.
· Responsible for build and support of complete DMZ environment, including load balances, firewalls and proxies and other engineered systems.
· Design and develop re-usable components and operational strategies to support scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring.
· Work with Cloud team in understanding and packaging various Web components using cutting edge tools like Docker, Puppet, Chef.
Qualifications:
· Related work experience in similar environment of managing high volume enterprise web infrastructure for period of 5 to 7 years.
· Deep understanding of DMZ and all tier of application architecture.
· Experience working in a high velocity agile software development team with rapid release cycles.
· Experience with 3-tier UNIX environments; Web servers, Java and Apache Application servers, Oracle and MySQL databases.
· Administration of a Global DNS environment using Berkley Bind and Cisco Network Registrar (CNR).
