Hyperion Planning Technical Consultant @ Santa Clara, CA

Hyperion Planning Technical Consultant:

 

·         Responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the Hyperion BI+ application suite. 

·         Deliver solution-oriented applications utilizing Hyperion Planning and other enterprise performance management technologies.

·         Perform full lifecycle development of planning applications, including identification and documentation of business requirements, development of key business processes to support a Hyperion Planning application, business rules, Essbase calculations, system and user testing, data sourcing strategies, and data validation and support users with training and documentation.

·         Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle and follow stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with Change Control processes.

·         Analyze processes to monitor and control data integrity and quality.

·         Communicate regularly with lead and other staff to provide project status updates and to ensure problems are recognized and addressed before they endanger the success of the project.

 

 Responsibilities:

• Bring consulting approach and problem-solving experience to the field
• Lead and conduct discovery sessions/interviews/workshops to define business requirements and scope.
• Conduct and document Fit/Gap analysis between delivered functionality in Hyperion and customer requirements
• Identify workarounds/solutions for gaps in Hyperion Planning
• Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle Hyperion Planning product
• Configure the system to meet the desired business process requirements
• Develop testing scenarios, test scripts and leading teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing
• Facilitate train-the-trainer or end-user training
• 100% Travel to Client locations in the continental U.S

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience with Hyperion Planning 11.
• Experience with Hyperion Financials Reporting (HFR) and data integration tools (OBIEE, ODI, etc.)
• Consultant should have knowledge of the integration of Hyperion Budgeting with General Ledger, Purchasing and Accounts Payable
• Experience working with decision packages
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem solving/debugging skills
• Experience with software full lifecycle methodology
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team.
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision and flexible to participate as a team member with a willingness to help junior staff where needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening and interpersonal skills
• Highly Organized and detailed oriented
• Able to fully utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Adapt to projects quickly with a can-do attitude
• Able to fill the role of a Hyperion Planning and Budgeting Lead
• Work with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define right solution for the problem at hand
• Application of interpersonal skills to build relationships with Client and Ciber project team members
• Effective communications at project team level, meeting facilitation and presentations
• Effective and persuasive written communications
• Exercises good judgment
• Able to transfer knowledge by coaching, training and mentoring
