Software Engineer – PHP
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Duration: 6 Months
Position Summary
The Software Engineer will work on an agile team to design, implement, and support a mature PHP application that utilizes PHP Object Oriented Programming and MySQL. The application integrates with numerous internal and third parties. The Software Engineer will coordinate with product management and user experience to plan and review new feature development and support of existing functionality.
Skills/Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
· Expert with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), as well as the Zend Framework
· Experience architecting, developing, testing and maintaining of PHP-based web applications.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies
· Advanced understanding of design, coding, and testing patterns
· Experience developing scalable web applications, including database design and implementation expertise High degree of problem-solving skills, attention to detail, personal initiative, and commitment to quality Strong ability to multi-task and work independently
Responsibilities
· Plan, design, and estimate tasks related to new development.
· Create and maintain automated functional and regression tests.
· Adhere to enterprise coding standards and practices.
· Complete tasks as part of Scrum / Agile development cycles.
