Project Manager w/Retail Exp is MUST

Springfield,MO

6+ Months

Immediate need of Project Manager for one of our National Retail clients. This PM will join efforts with our client's Retail Systems team and will work on 1-2 concurrent projects at any given time.

Responsibilities:

· Manage IT project activities for multiple projects across all project phases.

· Work collaboratively with enterprise architect, business analysts, infrastructure, development, security and management to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation.

· Create, manage and track project artifacts, including, but not limited to:

Ø Project Charter and Statement of Work

Ø Detailed project plans

Ø Project Costs

Ø Resource plans

Ø Risk and issues logs

Ø Status reports

· Manage the day-to-day activities of project teams; communicate with project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within budget and meet expected quality.

· Communicate and collaborate with vendors and internal customers as needed in regards to project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with sponsors.

· Make decisions and communicate trade-offs and risks; drive key decisions across projects.

· Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation.

· Provide ongoing project plan/status reporting for use by management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required. Master's degree or PMP certification is desirable.

· Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience in business or systems development.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

· Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment.

· Excellent human resource management skills.

· Experience in a retail industry
