Job Title: Sr Java Developer 

Location: Albany, NY

Duration : 6+ Months

Duties include:

Perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and support of complex applications and processes.

Meet Program standards associated with specification development, coding, code review, unit and string testing, and related documentation.

Create appropriate documentation artifacts associated with the SDLC stage for review and approval.

Assist in preparing effort and duration estimates associated with systemic enhancements.

Assist in production and other support activities, and resolve issues that may arise.

Stay abreast of industry technical and development trends, and remain current with standards

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer sciences or related field required.

Six or more years of Java application development experience required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel, application development personnel and management

Ability to work in a team environment with multiple team members, as well as productively as an individual.

Knowledge and experience in the following technical areas is required:

Java (multithreaded programming)

Java Message Service (JMS)

Java Web Services

Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE)

Java Unit Testing Framework (JUint)

Spring Framework

Apache Ant, Camel, log4j, Maven, and Struts

eXtensible Markup Language (XML)

XML Schema Definition (XSD)

XML Path Language (XPath)

Eclipse IDE

Web Services Definition Language (WSDL)

SQL

Linux

Additional knowledge in the following areas is desirable:

Angular Java Script (AngularJS)

Java Server Faces (JSF)

JavaScript

jQuery

Java Persistence API (JPA)

JavaServer Pages (JSP)

Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX)

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)

Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS)

Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT)

IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) - HIPAA X12 5010 and NCPDP D.0
