Roles and Responsibilities:
v Candidate will have a strong software engineering and/or computer science background and history of delivering large scale multi-teir Java/J2EE solutions. Candidates must possess advanced problem solving skills, the willingness to learn, and the ability to effectively and concisely communicate verbally and in written/presentation format. The analyst must work well in a supportive and transparent team environment, while having the ability to research and resolve issues independently.
v Responsibilities:
ü Plan, design, develop/ implement, test, and document application code/configuration in adherence to functional and non-functional (performance, scalability, security, usability) business requirements
ü Analyze business requirements and assist in estimating development efforts.
ü Develop, architect and document N-tier solutions.
ü Develop systems that adhere to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
ü Participate in design and code reviews.
ü Learn existing tools' functionality and source code partnering with the team.
ü Work with business analysts and project managers.
ü Multi-task and work on multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines.
ü Research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
ü Problem solving and issue resolution.
ü Partner with QA staff.
Must have skills:
v Qualifications:
ü 10 + years of application development experience on large development projects using N-tier architectures.
ü 8+ years of application development experience with Java/J2EE.
ü 7+ years of experience working with Tomcat and WebSphere and/or WebLogic.
ü 5+ years of experience working with relational databases (RDBMS), preferably Oracle and knowledge of stored procedures.
ü Sound knowledge of Spring, Web Services and SOA.
ü Must be current with hands-on application development.
ü Strong working knowledge in OO design and design patterns.
ü Experience with the entire software development lifecycle process.
ü Good working knowledge of web based application architecture and design.
ü Knowledge of Subversion or any other source code control systems.
ü Ability to deliver high quality product.
v Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents programming to satisfy business requirements. Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as proficient in multiple design techniques.
v Experience delivering projects following Agile methodology
v Experience implementing Large Java applications using JSF and Hibernate
