The person who is chosen must meet the following requirements: (no exceptions):
Work 5 days a week in Austin TX preferred but will consider highly skilled candidates working from Dublin, OH or Plano, TX. Will consider other locations for candidates with exceptional experience with Fuse ESB.
JAVA Developer II Role Expectations:
LOB System Replacement Project for Texas Teachers Retirement Systems
Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues.
Works on problems / projects of moderately complex scope.
Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.
Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input.
Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Skills Required: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED.
Knowledge and Skills:
2 or more years' experience.
Essential:
o Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies
o Basic understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
o Basic understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
o Experience using (or an understanding of the use of) an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse).
o Understanding of basic Database Administration.
o Understanding of quality and security standards.
Mandatory
o Java/JEE development skills
o Eclipse IDE or JBOSS Studio ,Struts
o Object-oriented analysis and design
o SQL Server
o JBoss Application Server
o Configuration Management Systems (CMS)
Optional Skills:
o Test Driven Development experience
o HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) /Quality Center.
o HP Exstream , SSRS
o Enterprise Service Bus
o Public Retirement Systems implementation / or Clarety framework solution
