Hi,
This is for the State of Mass Dept. of Transportation. Need a .NET Developer that is interested in development work and application support duties. Will be working independently not in a team so needs to be very self-sufficient. Strong VB.NET skills. Client has some legacy systems that will require attention from time to time so Classic ASP skills are going to be needed. Excellent Communication skills and customer interaction abilities are needed.

The Senior PC .NET Applications Support Developer will support and maintain existing and newly implemented .Net applications. This position is for a senior level developer who has experience with and is comfortable correcting existing code and adding new enhancements. The developer is expected to provide resolution to trouble tickets, satisfy ad-hoc requests and perform bug analysis and bug resolution quickly. The Senior PC Applications Support Developer will also be responsible for the completion of small to midsize projects.
General Qualifications (Listed in order of importance):
• 7 - 10 years of experience developing applications using.NET Frameworks
• Minimum of 2 years as a Lead Developer
• Strong problem research and analysis skills
• Ability to work individually or within a team
• Ability to delegate and monitor the work of less experienced .Net developers
• Troubleshoot issues, identify and implement resolutions and work with technical and business staff to ensure timely deployment
• Complete assigned tasks in an organized and efficient manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities
Technical Qualifications (Listed in order of importance):
• Classic ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net (client does not work in C#)
• WCF & Entity Framework
• .Net Framework 4.0 & Visual Studio 2010
• IIS 6+
• SQL Server (2005+, 2000) including Security Permissions, Database Users and Roles and Assigning Permissions for Groups via Windows Authentication.
• Oracle 10g, 11g
• Adobe Acrobat
• < >Visual SourceSafe/Team Foundation Server
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word
Experience with the following considered a plus:
• Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft Office)
• Knowledge of Database Design Concepts
• Microsoft Access
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Information Warehouse
