       Title:    Sr. Java Developer  (No one else is working on this requirement, this is exclusive and we can have tech screen today)

       Location:  Princeton | NJ, Ann arbor | MI  (with RESTful Web Services)

       Start date:   ASAP

       Duration:  6+ Months

  
Responsibilities:

Experience Must Have's

o Aspect Oriented Programming

o Injection, Access Controls (more than just logging)

o Java 1.7

o Spring MVC based frameworks

o Annotations

o Java/J2EE with messaging background

o Queues, topics, services

o How messaging works

o High volume, high performance applications (millions of hits/day)

o RESTful Web Services

o Agile experience

 

Soft Skill Must Have's

o Fast Learner

o Self-directed, work independently

o MUST know what's on their own resume

o Ability to deal with constantly changing requirements

 

Nice to Have's

o Experience with SOA, specifically MicroServices

o Cloud-based AWS. Knowing how that works

 

Initial Responsibilities

 Come in and start writing code

 B/E Content Processing

o Feed content (now going to legacy systems) into AWS cloud-based platform

o Change backend code

 New Platform Development

o Enhancements, New components

 

Selling Points

 

 Lot of new technology. MicroServices architecture. Look at a lot of new things. Lot to learn techwise.

 Learn how to build large scale apps in MicroServices. Cool stuff.

 Building cool things on top of AWS. For example, all releases are now done real-time with no downtime.
