Duration: 12-15 Months
Responsibilities:
First preference Sr. Build/Release Engineer with strong linux & Jenkins
Position: Sr. Devops Engineer - Build/Release Engineering
· Experience in Devops and Java systems using Maven/Ant for deploying code to Linux application servers using Jenkins and artifact repository like Nexus
· Experience in branching, merging, tagging in Subversion or Git
· Experience with Devops automation for software builds and release engineering.
· Experience with upgrades, patches, system configuration changes etc.
· Must have solid experience with Jenkins or Hudson on Linux (absolute must have).
Mandatory Skills:
· Linux: Strong hands-on knowledge of using Linux (2-5 years)
· Coding/Scripting: Expertise in Maven/Ant, Perl/Shell scripting (1-3 years)
· Code Deployments: Apache, Tomcat install and config (2+ years)
· Continuous Integration: Jenkins or Hudson (4+ years)
Optional Skills:
· Open-Source Tools: Nexus, Sonar – Good to have
· ALM tools: Teamforge, Jira, Rational – Good to have
· Languages: Java, C, SQL - Basic coding knowledge needed
