Title: Senior .NET Developer
Location: Chicago | IL

Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities:
Senior guy, C#, SQL, MVC, TDD
The Consultant will:
Plan, code and execute unit tests as prescribed in the Consultant guidelines
Read and comply with project standards including coding and design guidelines, quality standards, architecture approaches and guidelines, code and design review recommendations
Assignment Responsibilities:
Work and deliver side by side with development team members to ensure a consistent technical landscape aligned to technical architecture vision.
Collaborate with team leads and team members to ensure that all technology initiatives are implemented within the existing or planned framework for each project.
Provide assistance and technical guidance to Business Analysts, Software Engineers, QA Testers and other team members in diagnosing and resolving complex defects identified throughout testing phases.
General Education, Skills or Experience and Physical Requirements:
The individual's experience should be specific to the investment industry and be clearly focused on developing systems solutions and enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess:
Technical Skills:
5+ years demonstrating strong understanding and proven experience of object oriented design and development principles.
Demonstrated experience with automated unit testing using NUnit, JUnit, VSTest or similar testing frameworks.
Experience working in a TDD environment a MUST
Working knowledge and practice working in Agile development environment with strong engineering principles (XP, SCRUM etc.) a MUST
5+ years' experience with Microsoft.Net, some experience with C#, a MUST
3+ years' of relational database experience (SQL Server 2008R2 or higher) a MUST
3+ years' experience with publish/subscription models, enterprise services bus or other similar SOA type framework and architectures a strong plus.
Experience and/or certifications as a secure programmer is a strong plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft TFS
Exposure to or experience with multiple user interface development patterns (MVC 4.0)
Exceptional skills with user interface and design; supporting technology skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON
Professional Skills:
Experience in financial services and/or investment management, a strong plus
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent field
Ability to adapt within a rapidly changing environment and has experience in Agile or iterative software development is a plus
Attention to detail and concern for quality and accuracy of final product (and ability to balance that concern with deadlines)
Demonstrated team player, self-starter, and independent thinker
Outstanding decision making and problem solving skills
