We are having an urgent requirement with one of our MNC (One of the leading conglomerate in Muscat) Client for the post of SAP BW/BI Architect

Position: SAP BW/BI Architect

Location: Muscat

Job Profile.
• To design, develop, implement and support BW/BI solutions. The job requires strong SAP BW / SAP BI architectural, data modelling, development and maintenance skills.
• Monitoring and optimizing performance of report execution and data extraction & loading for master and transactional data on a regular basis.
• Resolving problems related to load failures, report issues & data inconsistency
• Configure and implement BW security
• To gather requirements from the user and to be able to translate them into scalable & optimized solutions.
Skills :
• Experience in implementing 4-5 full life cycles of SAP BW / SAP BI solutions in a complex environment with at least 1 implementation on BW 3.5 and BI 7.0
• Experience in Business Objects and upgrading existing BI solutions to BO will be an advantage
• Good understanding and experience in BW/BI architecture
• Should have experience in handling large volumes of data for design and performance point of view.
• Experience in automating loads using process chains and use of BW Monitor to supervise data loading.
• Work expertise in Optimizing Business Information Warehouse areas like Extraction, Transformation, Loading and Reporting.
• Worked with Business Explorer (BEx) tools like Query Designer, Query Analyser and Web Application Designer.
• Good knowledge of various aspects of BW like Administration Workbench, Multiproviders, Partitioning, Archiving, Infocube design, DSO design, Datasources, Infosources, Transfer rules, Update rules, Transformations, Infopackages, LO Cockpit, Performance Tuning, Aggregates, Infocube Maintenance activities like Compression, Indexes, DB Statistics and Business Content.
• Sound knowledge of various data design models- Entity Relationship(ER), Multi Dimensional/ Star Schema and Extended Star Schema models.
• Highly analytical, organized and process oriented, good inter-personal & communication skills and ability to work effectively in fast paced environments
