Job Title: Business Systems Analysts
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55401
Job Duration: 12 Months Contract

Description:

Primary Responsibilities:  
•Evaluate business requirements and prepare the detailed functional and technical specifications that follow project guidelines 
•Work closely with Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure requirements and design are completely understood 
•Communicate design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization 
•Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers and project management groups 
•Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution 
•Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives 
•Ensure IT deliverables align with business requirements with measurable results 
•Collaborate with the QA team to ensure testing efforts align with system deliveries and business processes

 

Required 
3+ years of experience in Systems Analysis or equivalent work experience involving analysis-related activities 
3+ years of experience translating business requirements into system specifications, or equivalent work experience 
Ability to contribute to a team effort 
Ability to document technical content

 

Preferred: 
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint  
Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions  
Experience working in an Agile environment or familiarity with Agile methodology  
Experience with system data integration  
Broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming tools 
Experience with Altova Mapforce 
Experience with XML Spy 
Experience with XML 
Experience with REST API  
Experience with JSON data 
Experience with Data Modeling Concepts 
Demonstrates a keenness for learning 
Excellent oral and written communication skills 
Four year degree in computer science or equivalent experience 

Additional: 
a logical approach to problem-solving 
good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail 
business awareness
