Project: Mostly backend, but have an upcoming project involving replacing portal/UI
Skill Set:
Primarily Java
J2EE, use it mainly for the container, TomCat, Jboss, use lighter weight containers, Drop Wizard (should have one of the 3).
Getting away from transactional work
Spring/Hibernate a must
Web Services: SOAP and Restful must haves (creation and consumption)
Should have working knowledge of SQL, does not need to know complex queries
Build Processes, knowledge of ANT/Maven
VMware, Automating, background in Chef is a plus
Experience with Junit or Mockito.
Methodology: Agile – have a dedicated Scrum Master
Leadership could be different from project to project.
