Our Automation Team is seeking a dynamic, talented, and motivated DevOp/Software Engineer with demonstrated experience supporting systems in an environment that must continue to support ever changing mission critical needs. The successful candidate must be a team player, collaborator, and demonstrate ability and willingness to think outside the box. You will being making a difference by developing requirements and working with users to drive mission efficiencies through IT transformation. In this role, the candidate will perform duties to meet varying mission needs across a broad customer base involving multiple applications and system interfaces. Candidate will identify, analyze, and document customer and stakeholder needs as technical requirements that define functions and data for the automation of web-based systems. Candidate will work with business product owners, users, developers, and other stakeholders in support of the complete systems development lifecycle. Candidate will coordinate with product owners to identify customer priorities for future planning, and propose input into the overall roadmap for the delivery of new and enhanced capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical field (an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Minimum 9 years of development/programming experience
• System building concepts – VM management and creation, snapshots, OS baselines, clustering, OS installation and administration, packaging tools (YUM, apt, or RPM)
• RESTful WebServices experience via frameworks: e.g. JEE, Spring, Apache AXIS, JAX-WS/JAX-RPC
• Servlet Container or Application Web Server deployment and configuration (e.g. JBoss, Wildfly, Tomcat or Weblogic)
• Relational DB Experience: e.g. MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL (3+ Years)
• EDI/Markup Experience – XML and JSON (XML validation against XSD schema, XLST, JSONP, JAXB, Jackson) (3+ Years).
• Build and CI tools: e.g. Ant, Hudson/Jenkins, CruiseControl, Git, SVN, or JUnit
• OS Scripting Proficiency (PowerShell, bash/csh/tsh, Windows Policies, RHEL Authconfig, Kerberos, or Samba)
Preferred Qualifications:
• ORM Framework Experience: e.g. JPA, Toplink or Hibernate
• Java Message Service via ActiveMQ or App Server APIs (Wildfly, Weblogic messaging, etc) – AMQP clients and concepts a plus
• 4GL OO Concepts and design (experience with Java or C#)
• Threading and Concurrency – e.g. Java Threading model, threads in Python, thread monitoring and management concepts
• Front-end Javascript frameworks and CSS toolkits: e.g. AngularJS, JQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, extJS, or Ember (5+ years).
• Rapid development with scripting languages – e.g. Python (preferred)/Ruby
• DevOps and provisioning: Chef preferred, or familiarity with concepts e.g. Puppet or Ansible
• AWS – EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, AWS APIs
