Technical Architect delivers and leads: Management of IT strategy and technical expertise in one or more technical 

domains while maintaining an enterprise perspective; Technical domain architecture expertise to project teams in 

collaboration with other architecture disciplines; Adoption and direction of technical architecture at 

NWM through collaboration at all levels; Implementation of improvement opportunities to applied and strategic architecture

processes within Technical Architecture practice; Technical Architecture defines and advances the strategic vision for 

NWM's IT infrastructure. In partnership with IT Operations and Support, Technical Architecture incorporates business 

strategies, industry trends and technology capabilities, functional and non-functional design requirements, 

and existing architectural principles to deliver comprehensive infrastructure strategies and design solutions. 

Seeking an individual to provide technical consultation to the department and asset support for the Data Architecture Domain. The person must be detail oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills. The individual should have knowledge and experience with many of the following systems, technologies, and services below. 

- Cloud Technologies Related to RDMS 

- Experience with DB2 and BlueMix 

- Experience with Sybase and gateways 

- Experience with Netezza 

- Administration of RDMBS Systems 

- Understanding of SQLServer and Azure 

- Knowledge of Performance Optimization of RDBMS systems 

- Knowledge of MongoDB 

- Knowledge of Casandra 

- Understanding of CouchDB 

- Familiar with required infrastructure needed to support systems listed above 

- Familiar with process such as SDLC, etc.. 

- Familiar with platforms that support systems listed above 

o UNIX, LINUX, Windows, etc…
