Candidates can work remotely if required and the client does have sites in Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Charlotte, and New York
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
SQL Architecture on a large scale platform
JavaScript Development background
Previously lead a team of 6+ developers 5-7 years of .Net development background
Experience in Agile (2 week sprints, daily scrums/stand ups)
Responsibilities:
Manage teams of developers delivering applications and platforms, as needed
Lead the architecting of new applications and upgrades to existing Web systems
Help in planning and implementing maintenance of code and platforms
Provide technical leadership to project team(s)
Act as a resource to other development team members Create smart, maintainable code
Ensure that smart, maintainable code is being generated by others on the team
Plan out test cases and lead the testing and QA processes to minimize defects
Assist with the deployment of applications from dev to staging to production
Track and report the progress of major milestones and releases
Works closely with project manager(s) and department directors to ensure clear and timely communication of status, progress and issues related to development programs.
Required Technical Skills:
Extensive experience developing Web-based applications
Experience designing and implementing N-Tier applications using .NET
Experience with SQL and relational database architecture and development (MS SQL)
Experience with MS SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server Platforms
Strong knowledge of Internet technologies and languages (HTTP, HTML, DHTML, Javascript)
Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts and design principles
Expertise in Visual Studio with integrated source control solutions like TFS, Subversion, Git, etc
Ability to apply object-oriented design principles to create extensible, maintainable applications.
Preferred Skills that are a definite plus:
Experience creating and consuming web services in .NET, preferably .NET MVC WebAPI
Familiarity with agile development methodologies like Agile/Scrum, TDD
