Title: Security Tools Engineer

Location: Redwood Shores, CA

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

As a Security Tools Engineer on the Oracle Global IT Risk Management Security Services team, you will be responsible for the configuration, design, and administration of critical security tools.

- The Tools Engineer will configure and manage security tools in compliance with security requirements while also ensuring continued compliance for all devices, working closely with infrastructure and platform teams

- The Security Tools Engineer will work with the security operations teams to ensure security devices/tools are configured properly to monitor, track, and analyze networks/systems for potential security and compliance violations while also assisting in all such potential incidents

- The candidate will be the subject matter expert on the security tools responsible for and translate security requirements into technical designs/solutions, interfacing with vendors as required

A minimum of 3 years experience with at least 2-3 of the following is required
- Vulnerability and configuration compliance scanning tools
- High throughput enterprise SIEM and syslog based logging solutions
- Complex Intrusion Prevention System deployments
- Desktop and network malware detection/blocking solutions
- Netflow analysis and threat detection tools
- Network security solutions including firewalls, routers, and vpn gateways
- IT analytics tools including big data open source solutions
- Secure systems and database administration on Linux, Windows, and other platforms

Successful candidate will have
- High school degree/GED with BS/MS in technical field preferred
- Solid understanding of information security, CISSP or other certification
- Proven troubleshooting skills and "get it done" attitude
- Working knowledge of scripting languages and vendor APIs
- Excellent communications and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively on virtual teams
- Effectively network and work well independently
