Role: ETL Architect

Location: Houston, TX

Client: Infosys

 

Education and Training

Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study.

 

Experience

·         Should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 10 years in information architecture/design/modeling

·         Should have in-depth experience in designing and implementing ODS, Data Warehouse, MDM).

·         In depth experience with enterprise data architecture tools (ER Studio or ERWIN)

·         Experience implementing ETL's is highly desirable.

·         EPC industry experience is desirable (or secondarily manufacturing)

·         Experience implementing data governance programs is desirable

·         Required Knowledge and Skills

·         Data-modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.

·         Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models.

·         Understanding of the differences between relational modeling and object modeling.

·         Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less

structured sources.

·         Familiarity with MDM, BI, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques.

·         System integration experience, including interface design, and familiarity with Web-oriented architecture techniques.

·         Strong communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials for all levels in the organization.Presentation and facilitation skills.

·         Effective conceptualization, pattern recognition and teaming skills.

·         Technical:  Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Biztalk, ER Studio Data Architect

Other Competencies

·         Has demonstrated the ability to work well with others and be respected as a leader.

·         Has a track record of remaining unbiased toward specific technologies or vendors.

·         Is an excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple technical and business stakeholders and leaders.

·         Must be able to translate the EIA contribution to business outcomes into simple briefings for use by the CIO and enterprise architects.
