Job Description:

• Responsible for implementing high quality, scalable and extendable SharePoint solutions server side (WSP) and through App Model (Provider Hosted).

• Assists in migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs.

• Designs and implements development workflow using SharePoint OOTB and Nintex, scripting with PowerShell for automation, testing and implementing solutions in an On-Prem and O365 SharePoint environment.

• Takes directions from management in implementing solutions, and follows critical change process.

• Works from high level requirements through detailed specifications, Proof of Concept, software deployment and administration.

• Analyzes technologies, technical processes and/or functions, documents findings, identifies areas for improvement and creates specifications and implements.

• Establishes, maintains, and promotes productive working relationships with project team members and external IT Teams.

• Responsible for upgrades, patching and password changes in the SharePoint application and systems; including requirement gathering, testing, documentation and establishing the upgrade process and configurations while following the change control process

• Address incident escalations from the support team as a subject matter expert through Service Now ticketing system

• Evaluate current and emerging SharePoint technologies, 3rd party add-ins, and practices; recommend solutions and best practices to management

• Perform project management activities on multiple SharePoint implementation projects, e.g. preparing deployments and goals, scheduling, coordinating and facilitating meetings, schedule tracking, and reporting

• Configure and manage Service Applications such as User Profile Services, Search (promoted links), Excel, Visio Graphics, BCS, Managed Metadata Services, Access Services, Timer Jobs

• BI solutions to expose information through Dashboards On-Prem and O365 Power BI (SSRS, PowerPivot, Excel Services, Performance Pivot, Visio Services)

• Backup and recovery responsibilities to include native tools, OOTB utilities and 3rd party software (Avamar, Net BackUp)

 

 

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of technical experience as an Architect/Engineer, SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013, O365. SQL 2005/2008, 2012. Server 2008, 2012. Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0. Business Intelligence, eDiscovery. VMWare, SAN, Hardware Load Balancers (Ace, Netscaler, F5).

• SharePoint 2003, BA-Insight, Varonis is a plus.

• Excellent knowledge of enterprise configurations for scalability. PowerShell and systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, Proof of Concepts, construction, integration, and migration functions.

• Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.

• Possesses strong MS platform knowledge and skills.

• Full lifecycle experience in architecting large scale scalable applications.

• Possesses knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing software solutions.

• Strong customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to build professional relationships.

• Solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate, verbally and written, to all levels of the business.
