Title: Business Analyst

Duration: 6+ Month

Location: Burlington, VT (can also work at Basking Ridge, NJ or Remotely but after a 2-3 months onsite at Burlington, VT)

Must have experience with HIX

Responsibilities:

• Excellent communication skills

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders (e.g., business owners, process owners, domain experts) to identify specific business requirements

• Conduct current state analysis to define current process flow and to gather current business, functional and non-functional requirements and constraints (i.e., "as-is" state)

• Document future state using appropriate tools/processes (e.g., "to-be" process maps either using BPMN or UML)

• Elicit requirements, construct business use cases and user stories.

• Facilitate all needed requirements-gathering activities (e.g., meetings, workshops, JAD sessions, requirements reviews with stakeholders and IT team)

• Experience in Business Analysis includes: business analysis planning and monitoring, enterprise analysis, requirements management, elicitation, solution assessment and validation

• Develop business context diagrams (e.g., business data flows, process flows) to analyze/confirm the definition of project requirements

• Define desired future state requirements based on input from all applicable stakeholders

• Identify the business impact of system/application changes, using appropriate tools as needed (e.g., impact analysis, risk analysis)

• Identify capability gaps between current state and desired state (e.g., system capacity, emerging technologies)

• Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for gathering and documenting project requirements

• Identify and/or establish appropriate testing metrics/targets to validate that business requirements are being met (e.g., performance metrics, process deliverables, traceability, business value)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience

• 5 or more years of experience in business analysis

• Ability to travel up to 100%, especially in early stages of the project

• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers and staff

Additional Assets:

• Expertise in federal and state mandated programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, QHP, CHP, SHOP

• Healthcare industry experience including: eligibility determination, enrollment, membership, EDI transactions, integrated eligibility, program determination.

• Consulting or commercialization experience

• Healthcare Insurance Exchange experience

• Demonstrated capability in requirements gathering/analysis
