Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

GalaxE has been selected as the clients strategic partner responsible for providing full life-cycle application development, integration and support services. The GalaxE team consists of resources deployed across GalaxE's development centers in the US and India as well as the clients locations across the US.  The technologies, skill sets and team size vary by application but all groups are managed by GalaxE's leadership team. The entire team is responsible for ensuring  architectural best practices are achieved.

  • Serve as the lead resource responsible for the overall design and development of applications and systems
  • Define requirements and create architectural specifications.
  • Provide leadership to client and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in all phases of design and development; mentor team members as needed.
  • Lead and coordinate development activities and be the anchor of technical expertise with onshore and offshore technical teams
  • Help ensure projects are delivered successfully, on-time, and within budget.
  • Ensure the proper translation and validation of system requirements into software design through iterative sessions with Product Management and other SME's
  • Implement and enforce engineering best practices using modern standards and patterns
  • Review unit test plans, tests, and code coverage to ensure high quality delivery
  • Implement engineering excellence by enforcing regular code reviews, continuous integration, high test code coverage, on-going code refactoring and adequate documentation
  • Ensure correct usage of industry standard software and frameworks

Skills and Experience Required:

 

Mid to Senior Level (6-8 Years)

Expertise with:

  • Java programming
  • XPath expressions & functions
  • XSLT
  • Mule ESB platform to deliver SOAP & REST based APIs (a plus) / Any ESB experience would work
  • Deep understanding of SOA design principles and best practices
  • Deep understanding and implementation of web services
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to deliver complex projects successfully
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written technical documentation skills
