1. Apart from the regular skills needed from a PM, I have listed the following 4 key needs

a. extensive experience in Data Warehouse Lifecycle – from Business requirements, Design, Development, to Implementation and Support of Data Warehouses 

b. strong interviewing skills to extract information from Subject Matter Experts and translate the same to meet the DW needs 

c. manage both customer user group and development teams, lead teams for all DW/BI functional requirements 

d. good to have worked in KANBAN methodology, which is an offshoot of agile. If the person has just the agile methodology, good enough.

2. Be the SPOC for all the projects we work with Seagate and update the progress with the Seagate sponsor

3. Be able to interact with the business users one-on-one or along with the GAVS onsite developers.

a. Must be able to steer the meetings in setting expectations and sign-off from the business users and the IT team

4. Be able to monitor progress on all projects with appropriate stand up meetings

5. Be able to shuffle resources at onsite and offshore between projects, in consultation with the PM at offshore

6. Be able to ascertain and train the resources as needed

7. Lead the daily SCRUM standup meetings, weekly offshore meeting …

8. Be able to discuss and create a proposal with potential new businesses a Seagate. Our sales team led by Terry Ittel will be there to introduce, facilitate the meetings.
