Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a SAP WMS Functional Consultant who will provide leadership and functional expertise in SAP WMS during design and build phases of a new SAP implementation. As a key member of the SAP implementation team the Consultant will work closely with the Manufacturing Implementation Lead and Interface between WMS, MRP, and plant control.
Initially the SAP project team will be based in Wilton, CT but will travel up to 4 days a week if required to Missouri (home on weekends) closer to the commissioning date (August 2014 ).
Required Skills and Experience
· Bachelor's Degree
· At least 5 years’ experience in SAP WM configuration
· At least 3 years’ experience and 2 full project lifecycle leadership with the SAP WM module
· Hands-on participation in several SAP WMS implementations including lead role in at least 2 SAP WMS implementations.
· Should be proficient in writing functional specifications, test execution
· Ability to troubleshoot design and configuration issues
· Knowledge of DC functions such as cross docking, wave picking, multiple bin type configuration, receiving and shipping and quality control of loading and unloading trucks / trailers.
· RF scanning implementation and integration with SAP experience a must
· Shipping experience, form creation, general liability, OSHA, and DOT regulations
