Title: Web Designer /Web Developer
Location: Northern NJ (one phone interview and then a one-time face to face interview)
Start date: Interview on your Availability
Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities:
The Web Developer/Designer is responsible for the design and UI development of our new corporate intranet. Design theme and skins with key personnel for Websphere Portal environment. Develop the HTML, CSS, and Graphics required to build the new site.
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
- 5+ years’ Experience working with HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and all W3Standards.
- 5+ years’ Experience working on graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, (Adobe Creative Suite), multimedia creation with Flash, ActionScript, (Macromedia Studio).
- 3+ years’ Experience with Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into CSS/HTML/XHTML themes.
- 3+ years’ Experience with animation, multimedia , Content Management and editing video and audio files
- 2+ Years developing UI Framework with JQuery/Dojo/ExtJS
- Practical exposure and/or experience with some or all of the following: Java Server Pages and Java, Portal applications will be a plus
Overall Responsibilities
- Develops site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists, designing images, icons, banners, audio/video enhancements, etc.
- Develops site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
- Will help in researching and testing new technologies and procedures.
- Will be required to follow all existing development procedures and standards.

QUALIFYING EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- BS in a Computer Related Major and/or 5 plus years of IT specific career experience
- 5 plus years of experience with Web designer / Web developer
- Retail Experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Portal UI Development experience in a corporate environment is mandatory
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with people from various departments
- IBM Websphere Framework
