BI Solution Architect

Work Location Richfield/MN

Duration 12 months

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

• 8+ years of experience in BI Solutions and delivery experience

• 5+ years of experience in Informatica/APTALK/ SQL Server/Terradata/PDW database and exposure to Supply Chain

• Extensive experience Solution Architecture and working experience with customer architecture review board

Exposure to TGAF architecture framework would be added advantage

• Technical team management experience including offshore team members

• Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Retail related data warehousing experience a plus "

Roles and responsibility

• Source systems integration plan and project setup

• Project Infrastracture setup and database sizing

• Document own work, create technical documents for requirements/design and internal communication

Offshore work coordination and tracking

• Work with customer architecture review board on design solution approach and sign-off

• Create supply/demand forecasts and create work pipeline

Work with technical team in reviewing the code

  Stay current with emerging industry trends

Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks

Good written and oral communication

Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions

SQL knowledge and performance tuning experience needed"

Job Decsription

Best Buy has planned to build a supply chain operational data store (ODS) which would be leveraged for operational reports & dashboards.

These reporting capabilities would enable Best Buy in making right decisions to optimize its supply chain.

Warehouse management system, Transportation Management System & Labor Productivity Management system would be the primary data sources of the ODS.
