Role: Guidewire PolicyCenter Data Migration Lead
Location - LA
Job Description
The Guidewire Policy Center Data Migration lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Providing day to day leadership of the Data Migration mapping and conversion team.
• Working closely with the ETL Data Migration lead and serve as primary interface to legacy systems.
• Identifying, extracting and transforming required data for GuideWire Policy Center software, based on business requirements and following data governance standards
• Migrating required data from the legacy system data by analyzing and mapping existing data to a new solution
• Working closely with legacy data teams and the RI/vendor teams to ensure the right data is migrated
• Performing detailed data analysis and data profiling
• Supporting the development and implementation of data cleanse/create processes and other strategies that optimize data quality
• Understanding performance, quality, and schedule considerations
• Interpreting complex data and communicate it in an effective manner, leveraging advanced reporting techniques
• Recognizing data patterns, quantify potential issues, and identify solutions
• Standardizing, harmonizing, cleaning, preparing, and using data for datasets development, reporting, and analysis
• Providing support to the project team in terms of technical specification and build of Interface and Conversion objects
• Developing and maintaining enterprise data authoritative ownership and stewardship metadata
• Developing and maintaining effective and efficient information architecture and data ownership awareness and training programs
• Monitoring regulatory and compliance guidelines (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture
Required Skills
• Expertise in Guidewire Policy Center Data Migration
• A minimum of 5 years + experience within large-scale data conversion projects to Guidewire Policy Center
• Experience of ETL toolsets and data integration across different platforms, using mapping tools, SQL scripting
• Experience with the following is essential: MS SQL Server 2008 and SSIS
• Technical expertise regarding data models and database design and ability to review design specifications to ensure they meet data design standards at the functional and/or technical levels
• Understanding of legacy database formats
• Experience in data analysis/profiling techniques and procedures
Preferred
• Experience of working with Agile methodologies
